Apart from the regular subjects prescribed by the Commission on High Education, the school offers additional subjects to enhance the students' writing and speaking skills. These included courses on English proficiency and Print and Broadcast (TV and Radio) Special Training. The Manila Times College is the brainchild of Dr. Dante A. Ang, who in 2001 revived The Manila Times-the longest running English-language newspaper in the country. The only school run by professional journalists. The Manila Times College provides high-end facilities for training in print and broadcast journalism. With its tie-up with The Manila Times newspaper, students enjoy free and unlimited access to the editorial and production facilities of the newspaper.
