The team at Tong aims to raise £5,000 for the charity that provides family led care for children with life shortening conditions through a series of fund-raising events and collection boxes at the tills. The Charity of the Year initiative came from Jo Dales, Tong Garden Centre's Marketing Manager: "We're at the heart of the community here at Tong and we wanted to support a local charity that makes a real difference to the lives of local people. Martin House offers a place where children, young people and their families can stay and provides invaluable support, rest and practical help. "We're delighted to be able to support their great work and to help them to raise the £5 million they need to offer this vital service to more than 400 families in the region." John Haigh, Corporate Fundraiser commented: "We are absolutely delighted to have the team at Tong Garden Centre supporting us. Around 25% of the children and families cared for and supported by Martin House in any one year come from BD postcodes, so it's really great to have such an ambitious, Bradford based business as Tong Garden Centre working in partnership with us. Having already met some of the team, I know they will deliver for the hospice as they deliver to their customers.
