Tour de Thailand.

Tour de Asia Bicycle Touring Co., Ltd., was founded in April 2004 with the goal of organizing and managing charity biking events in Thailand and Southeast Asia. It is an accredited Tourism Authority of Thailand Company. Mr Christopher Byrd, the founder and managing director, came up with the idea of holding the 1st Annual Tour De Thailand in August 2003, he completed a solo bicycle journey of 3,200 kms in Thailand from Hat Yai to Chiang Rai. Christopher was so inspired by the inaugural success that he felt the need to give riders from around the world the chance to participate in rides in Southeast Asia. He felt that the success of the rides would increase each year. Since the tours have started, the number of participating riders and donations have doubled each year. Thanks to support from Corporate Sponsors, we are able to operate inexpensive rides, while still giving 100% of the donations go straight to charities. These Corporate Sponsors benefit from our Marketing and Corporate Social Responsibility programs. Whenever possible, we recognize our sponsors for sharing our vision and dream. Without their generosity, it would not be possible for us to organize these events. Everyone who participates is a winner even though these events are not races.
