Medical error is the third cause of death. The explanation for this is that training systems for critical areas in healthcare, which require specific technical skills, are basic, expensive, and with no scalability. After demonstrating that one-month simulation-trained junior residents using web/mobile technology (C1DO1) perform better than 5-year general surgeons on advanced laparoscopic cases, we commenced exploring how the method may impact other areas to reduce human error behind a deficient paradigm of psychomotor skills acquisition. We can shorten the learning curve in skill training by using human networks of instructors and obtaining rich educational data to improve feedback while learning. We are looking to strengthen the areas of personalized learning systems and courseware while gathering specific data that will enable a solid AI-based learning technology. VISION As we help transfer practical skills, we accumulate knowledge (Data) that will dramatically change education. So far, Training Competence´s C1DO1 has more than 15 validated courses for skills in healthcare 2300 users among healthcare professional workers and students 5000 evaluations 18,000 feedbacks MARKET Training in healthcare: We are already in Chile, Brazil and Perú. Latin America’s e-learning market is foreseen to expand over more than 10B USD by 2025. With the increase in these investments, the demand for profitable learning technologies is rapidly growing in the market. We will have our first pilot in the U.S (UCSF) this 2020 Data: The data generated from teaching networks that transfer practical skills to students through technology-assisted feedback, will change education.
