Transcultureds mission is to design and propose new, practical and human-centered solutions to the modern challenges of our multicultural globalised world. Definition of Globalisation: the process of international integration arising from the interchange of world views, products, ideas, and other aspects of culture. Globalisation has filled modern life with so many opportunities: But with all these enriching new things, many new challenges have appeared: How do we successfully communicate with someone from a different cultural background? How do we work effectively across international teams? How can we understand radically different ways of viewing the world? How do we handle challenging behaviours that dont make sense to us? How do we navigate intercultural relationships? How do we raise children in a multicultural environment with conflicting values? How do we keep our own cultural identity and sense of belonging? These challenges have emerged in the past few decades, and there isnt much agreement on how to find the miracle solution. Traditional approaches have been focused on intercultural training courses, aimed towards teaching a specific skill: How to do business in country X, Social etiquette in country Y, What not to do in country Z. These courses, while being entertaining and informative on different stereotypes, are not the answer. For one, they are not based on anything else than the personal experiences of the individual trainer, as there is yet to be written a Dictionary of cultural behaviour in country X ( read more on why ). Secondly, these short courses may provide a few useful tips, but they do not arm people with actual tools to use in their daily intercultural encounters, and do not solve their challenges. People are therefore for the most part left puzzled and frustrated, and it is becoming widely accepted that cultural challenges are this mysterious force that affects us without being able to do anything about it.
