Transport4
Transport4, LLC, was founded in October 1997 by four of the nation's largest petroleum product pipelines -- Buckeye, Colonial, Explorer, and TEPPCO. These carriers pooled their resources and built a common, web-based, customer interface to support the needs of their collective shipping communities. August 1999 - Transport4.com is launched. Over the next couple of years Transport4 dedicated resources to make numerous application improvements to the delight of its customers. February 2002 - Transport4 integrated its first new carrier - Centennial Pipeline. In late 2002 Transport4 launched Premium Shipper Services, initially offering fax and third party ticketing services. June 2003 - Transport4 developed and licensed commercial software for Terminal Activity Report Automation (TARA). TARA allows terminal owners to automatically retrieve daily terminal activity data, generate detailed customer activity reports and distribute them to customers via email. August 2003 - Transport4 updated its entire network with new equipment and operating systems and migrated to a new managed hosting environment. Transport4 also launched an automated B2B ticket distribution service called ATTP-Tickets and successfully established the service at ConocoPhillips. December 2003 - Transport4 integrated Wolverine Pipe Line Company's ticket and bulletin distribution into Transport4 and launched Automated Batch Transaction Transfer (ABTT) for monthly transaction data. Early in 2004 Transport4 will be commissioning a complete Disaster Recovery (DR) site at a local collocation facility in Atlanta. The company will also be developing more premium shipper services and working to integrate more carriers.
