Trauma Resource Institute

TRI is committed to bringing the resiliency models to the worldwide community. Our international projects are generated from various sources. TRI is contacted by individuals and organizations that would like to bring our healing modalities to the international communities. We are often contacted after natural or man-made disasters. We have found it is important to be hosted by organizations that have networks already in place when we embark upon creating a project. For example, the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee contacted TRI after the Haitian earthquake of 2010. We just completed the 8th phase of this project. UUSC was very organized and had been involved in creating programs in Haiti for many years so this access helped TRI implement its trainings programs after the earthquake. Presently we are organizing a project in Africa co-sponsored with Village Network Africa. There are individuals working on a possible project in Nepal in 2014. We also plan to continue our project in Haiti and are working on funding sources to continue to support the Haitians who are now TRI trainers.
