Tri-Sport is the go-to shop for the active community of St. Maarten/St. Martin and our neighboring islands of Anguilla, Saba, Statia and St. Barths. More than just a bike shop we are part of the community - helping to build a stronger future. Founded in 1992 by the late Malcom Maidwell because of his love affair with triathlons, Tri-Sport continues to carry on the triathlon tradition by working with the Friendly Island Triathlon Association to put on 5+ races yearly. But it isn't all about triathlons - Tri-Sport is a proud sponsor of mountain bike races, walks, runs, anything kayaking, bike rides and kids groups. Malcom believed that sport should be a way of life and was known to tell people, "Treat your hour of fitness as you would a Doctor's appointment. Tri-Sport continues his legacy by continuing to introduce the wonders of sport (kayaking, hiking, biking, swimming, running and cycling) through the business. On the tour side, we run ecologically-friendly tours that get people out and moving - kayaking, bicycling, hiking, boogie boarding, and snorkeling. All of our tours start with a brief introduction to the sport, so even a complete newbie can come and have fun. On the retail side, we carry all the necessities for triathlons, but we're known mostly as a bike shop. Our goal is to make Sint Maarten a happier, healthier place by getting more people on bikes more often. Tri-Sport is the place to come if you're buying a bike for your child, just getting into cycling, or if you want the best new carbon frame. Today, Tri-Sport is run and managed by Malcom's daughter Susy and her Husband Juan Pablo. Susy focuses on the retail shops while Juan Pablo enjoys running the tour side of the business.
