Tudor Hall School
Tudor Hall is a girls' independent boarding and day school. There are currently 336 girls in the school of whom approximately 20% are day girls. The school is situated in beautiful surroundings in parkland, approximately one mile outside Banbury. The school has been well resourced over recent years and departments generally have their own teaching space and within reason whatever resources they need for teaching the curriculum. Girls usually join the school at 11+ and 13+ with a few girls entering at 16+. Entry is by Common Entrance and the school is selective but strengths beyond the classroom are taken into account and consequently there is a range of ability in each year group. The ethos of the school is to foster the strengths of the individual, both in and out of the classroom. This pays dividends in the excellent examination results. The school has an Anglican foundation and all staff are expected to support the Christian ethos. Academic staff are also encouraged to enter into the boarding spirit of Tudor Hall, working with House staff and pastoral staff, to enrich the full boarding life of the girls by supporting existing activities or initiating new clubs and societies. The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure & Barring Service.
