The company, established in 1911, has two manufacturing facilities in the United Kingdom, subsidiary operations in Germany and Australia, and an international dealer network in more than 50 countries throughout the world. P&V's extensive range of rock drilling products includes tunnelling/drifting and extension drilling equipment such as shank adaptors, couplings, drill rods, TC tipped drill bits and reaming equipment, integral drill steels, taper rods and bits, together with the latest tube drilling systems. All major international thread forms are supplied. P&V has been responsible for many innovations in rock drilling. The company originated and developed the manufacture of percussive button bits in the mid-1960s. It established the first European facility for overall carburising of drill rods and originated the manufacture of male/female drill rods. Today, P&V products are in continual use on many prestigious projects and worksites, surface and underground. The company's reputation for performance and quality is respected around the world. With its own steel rolling mill, P&V is also one of the few integrated manufacturers in the world. It's steel division, Bedford Steels, was originally established in 1792, and was the inventor of the method or re-rolling hollow mining drill steel, which it patented in 1918. Alongside its core product range of rock drilling equipment, P&V also manufactures the widest range of high quality demolition tools for use with most types of boom mounted hydraulic breakers. In addition to all standard working ends, special application designs have been developed for special demands. The company also offers a complete range ofaccessories for hand held breakers. All P&V products are fully manufactured and treated in its own factories, using the latest processes and equipment. All P&V facilities operate a Quality Management System approved to ISO9001:2008.
