Turner Powertrain Systems Limited is a wholly owned, subsidiary company of Caterpillar Inc. Turner Powertrain Systems Limited; design, develop, produce and market a range of transmissions for both Caterpillar and for Original Equipment Manufacturers for the off-highway machine industries across the world. The transmission range is designed to match engines with power ratings from 50 kW / 67 hp to 135 kW / 181 hp. The transmission range produced include; manual gear select (Powershuttle), semi and automatic gear change (Powershift), and hydrostatic transmissions. The type of machine application using these transmissions include Caterpillar's range of Backhoe Loaders, Small Wheel Loaders and Telescopic Handlers. Turner Powertrain Systems produce transmission for other Original Machine Manufacturers machines including market leading manufacturers of Telescopic Handlers, Rough Terrain Fork-lifts, Backhoe Loaders, Site Dumpers, Agricultural Sprayers, mining support vehicles, airport vehicles and rail service vehicles. From an outline of key data and the desired machine performance our engineering staff collaborate with you to create a tuned transmission specifically for the machine to deliver optimum performance. Engineering support is offered throughout your test and development phase, through to production, and through-out the transmissions life.
