Type A Events

Type A Events was founded in 2009 by a group of veteran event professionals who had worked together in various capacities for nearly a decade. They had cut their teeth on industry-leading user-conferences and special events but were ready for a new challenge. Together, they would start a new type of event management company that focused less on the tactical and logistical side of live events and more on the strategy and experience behind them. What started with seven people crammed into an office the size of a small bedroom and a COO literally operating out of a closet, quickly grew into an award-winning, best-in-class agency, complete with a new 30,000 sq ft facility. We see this growth as both confirmation of purpose as well as a testament to the power of live events. We&s;re very proud of the fact that Type A Events is certified by the Womens Business Enterprise National Council, a widely recognized and respected national certification for women-owned businesses. We firmly believe that diverse perspectives, cultures and values should be celebrated and are paramount to producing quality events and creative. At Type A Events we believe that good is the enemy of great. We believe that holding ourselves, our vendors, and even our clients to this higher standard is what sets up apart in a competitive marketplace. Everyone who works for Type A has committed to being a strong, smart, innovative, positive, and essential leader for each other and our clients. In the 1950&s;s a behavioral theory was developed that categorized people into Type A and Type B personality types. The theory describes Type A individuals as outgoing, ambitious, organized, impatient, anxious, proactive, and concerned with time management. We chose the name Type A Events because we feel that these are the exact traits that you&s;d want in an event manager.
