By adhering to such policy, our Corporate Social Responsibility department works closely with the plants and surrounding communities to monitor, protect and resen/e environment from any harm. UBE GROUP (THAILAND) has been awarded global standard certifications including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001. We also built Clean Development Mechanism unit that converts greenhouse gas to clean air, and, Reverse Osmosis unit that generated clean recycled water to reuse in our plants. For years, we have invested significantly in human resource, equipments and facilities in our Research and Development company, UBE Technical Center (Asia) or UTCA. This is the force reflecting our commitment to pursue success through the innovative technology. Furthermore, UBE Fine Chemicals (Asia) or UFA, established in 2007 to serve the industries with many high value-added specialties, is building the first 1,6-Hexanediol and 1,5-Pentanediol plant in South East Asia. The plant will commence the production in 2011.
