Uckfield College
Uckfield Community Technology College is an East Sussex college for the community with specialist status in Technology and Applied Learning. It has approximately l,660 students aged 11 to 18, of whom over 450 are within our Sixth Form College. We publish separate prospectuses for students aged 16+ (Sixth Form) and for Adult Learning (ACRES). The information given in this document is intended for parents who are considering their son's or daughter's entry to a secondary school in September 2012, or moving into the area and wishing to transfer to Uckfield Community Technology College. UCTC achieved specialist school status in Technology in Spring 2002 and in September 2006, as a high performing school, was awarded a second specialism in Applied Learning. The College has invested heavily in technology that enhances learning. This technology benefits all students in all subject areas. Some of the funding is directed to Adult Learning and to joint curriculum projects with Partner Primary Schools. In this way UCTC aims to be a learning hub at the centre of the local community. In 2009 UCTC met the criteria as a High Performing Specialist School to be a Leading Edge School and a Gifted and Talented Lead School.
