Kristy is a 1996 graduate of The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH, where she received a bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy. Kristy has been a CHT since 2002 and has always had an interest in splint fabrication and hand therapy innovation. The Ulnar BoosterTM wrist splint design grew out of a need for patients with ulnar sided wrist pain who wanted to continue with their daily lives. With no designs on the market addressing ulnar sided wrist pain comprehensively; she began by sewing splints for her patients on her machine at home. From the very beginning, patients reported improvement in their pain. She improved the design in various phases over 2 years, listening carefully to the feedback her patients provided. In 2012, Kristy joined forces with North Coast Medical Inc.to bring the UlnarboosterTM to a larger rehabilitation market. With thoughtful assistance from North Coast Medical's CEO, Mark Biehl and Jeff Applegate, CFO; the UlnarboosterTM was transitioned into the very popular Comfort Cool® line of splints. Changes incorporated into the design, with the help of North Coast Medical, Inc., included the use of the ultra-comfortable Comfort Cool® neoprene and a less bulky design,
