The medical aid society is supported by an established network of doctors and other suppliers of medical services. The founders of Ultramed Health were driven by the need to ensure that patients/policyholders always have adequate medical cover at an affordable cost. The principle of Ubuntu was fundamental in coining the vision of Ultramed Health. Additionally, Ultramed Health is run by staff with in-depth knowledge and experience on the fundamental issues that affect the client's access to health care and medical treatment in Zimbabwe. Ultramed Health is the solution in the provision of medical aid services to the local and regional populace. Target Market: Zimbabwe has approximately 13 million people and less that 900 000 people have medical insurance. Ultramed Health aims to provide basic medical aid cover by using a no frill attached concept that allows both the insured and uninsured population to access medical cover at a fraction of the cost/premiums of what the market currently charges. Ultramed Health is also the first in the market to offer a truly family based medical aid product. The marketing efforts of the Ultramed Health is directed at the following groups: the participants in the informal sector, formally employed low income groups and those with low disposable income.
