Uganda Martyrs University

Uganda Martyrs University is a faith-based institution, owned by the Catholic Episcopal Conference. Its mission includes the attainment of Social Justice, educating the whole person (holistic approach) and empowering the powerless. UMU's mission is derived from Christian understanding of the human person. In its approach UMU hopes to develop an integral person by providing high quality education in a conducive environment in order to produce professionals of varying academic and social competencies i.e. reflective, interpretive, analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking capacities. UMU upholds a policy of non-discrimination on the basis of disability, ethnicity, gender, race or religion.
