Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS) is the statutory body established by the an act of Parliament, UNBS Act Cap 327 of 1983, and responsible for formulating and promoting the use of standards, enforcing standards in protection of public health and safety and the environment against dangerous and sub-standard products as well as ensuring fairness in trade and precision in industry through reliable measurement systems.
