The UNCTAD
UNCTAD is the main U.N. body dealing with trade, investment and development issues. It was established in 1964 as a permanent intergovernmental body. It functions as a forum for intergovernmental deliberations, supported by discussions with experts and exchanges of experience, aimed at consensus building. Headquarter of UNCTAD is located in Geneva, Switzerland. It report to the UN General Assembly and the Economic and Social Council. It is also part of the United Nations Development Group. Its membership is 194 countries.
