National Distance Education University
The National Distance Education University, or UNED (for Universidad Nacional de Educacion a Distancia), is a distance research and education postsecondary school operated by the government of Spain. The university has campuses in communities across Spain, as well as additional study and exam centers in Europe and the Americas, and the headquarters is located in Madrid, Spain. The school offers a wide variety of educational programs with both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, as well as non-degree programs such as course certifications. UNED was founded in 1972.
