United Nations International School
The United Nations International School of Hanoi (UNIS) is a private, non-profit coeducational English-language day school enrolling students from Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12. The school is located in Tay Ho District, about ten kilometres from the city centre. The school was established in 1988 by agencies representing the United Nations to offer an education to the children of UN personnel and children of expatriates residing in Hanoi. The students come from 51 different countries, including Vietnam, Korea, USA, Japan, Sweden, UK, Denmark, Germany, Australia, Canada, Switzerland, Belgium, France, Malaysia, Indonesia, and many more. There are 100 full-time faculty members. The faculty is multi-national, including Americans, Canadians, British, Australians, New Zealanders, French, Belgian, Swedish, Danish, Korean, and Vietnamese.
