Trinity Business School
The University Times is Ireland's largest and pre-eminent student newspaper, published from Trinity College Dublin year-round at www.universitytimes.ie, and every three weeks in print during the acade...mic year. Online, its audience often broaches 150,000 unique visitors each month, and in print, it reaches all of Trinity's 17,000 students. With a focus on higher education and national student issues, the reach of The University Times goes far beyond the walls of Trinity College Dublin, and is read by academics, education policy makers and students from all of Ireland's third-level institutions – often setting the national agenda for debates on issues affecting them. The paper consistently wins national and international awards, including Irish Student Publication of the Year (2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018), and World's Best Non-Daily College Newspaper (2016). It also received a citation for editorial writing from the US-based Society for Professional Journalists in 2015. In 2016 and 2017, the US-based Society for News Design awarded it the title of Best Overall News Website, and in 2016 said its print paper was the World's Best-Designed College Paper. Its journalists also routinely win the prestigious Irish Student Journalist of the Year award. Alumni of the paper have gone on to work for the Sunday Business Post, the BBC, the National Journal, the New York Times, Quartz, Storyful, the Irish Independent and Business Insider, among other media outlets.
