The UoI Department of Materials Science and Engineering has been offering a Postgraduate Course since the 2014-2015 academic year (OGG 2121/issue B/1-8-2014) that leads to a Master's Degree (MSc) in Advanced Materials and lasts one year. Meeting the requirements to boost scientific knowledge and encourage research towards the new direction of Materials Science and Engineering, which, albeit new in Greece, significantly contributes to the development and promotion of research abroad, and is an integral Engineering specialization in almost every Technical School, the UoI Department of Materials Science and Engineering establishes a Postgraduate Course in Advanced Materials.
