Utility Resource Services

Utility Resource Services Ltd. (URS) was established by Russell Bourne in 1999 following a 20-year career in the electricity supply industry. Following privatisation in the early 1990's former electricity and gas boards began to demerge and compact into specialist operations, offering a single service only i.e. connection provision, metering, energy supply and contracting services. The days of one electricity or gas board providing a fully comprehensive service soon disappeared. Future acquisitions, mergers and reorganisation within the utility industry added further confusion. Customers soon became baffled by the complexities associated with organising a connection related project finding, to their cost, that such projects now required the co-ordination of several independent companies. URS stepped in after witnessing an opportunity to offer clients a single, expert point of contact to co-ordinate the end to end process on their behalf. URS focuses on the clients utility requirements allowing more time for them to focus on their own area of expertise. Clients take comfort that, for a fixed fee, utility projects are undertaken at lowest cost, are of the correct specification and are completed in the shortest possible timescales. Projects are predominately within industrial & commercial sectors although some multi-residential projects e.g. apartment blocks, retirement complexes and housing estates are also undertaken.
