Proyecto Horizonte

Proyecto Horizonte is a non-profit and non-governmental organization based in Bolivia. Proyecto Horizonte began its work in 2004 as a privately funded organization. Our goal was to lift the community we serve out of extreme poverty and help it to thrive. We know that this cannot be done without involving them in everything we do. Our comprehensive program integrates education, healthcare and community development to create sustainable, positive impact. This is has helped us to achieve remarkable success. 100% of donations directly benefit the project. We receive some support from local government, but the majority of our costs are covered through private donations. To ensure an efficient flow of donations, we founded the "Verein zur Förderung des Kindergartens in Ushpa-Ushpa e.V." in Germany. This association is recognized as a non-profit charity and its sole function is to support the project. In the U.S.A. we work with the Bolivian Charity Foundation (BCF), a registered 501 c3 charitable organization. Neither organization imposes any charges - our only costs are the bank transfer fees! Proyecto Horizonte has no operating expenses outside Bolivia. All our work beyond Bolivia is done by a dedicated group of volunteers.
