Usk Vets Veterinary Centre

Usk Vets was founded over 60 years ago and is part of the fabric of the local community. We have a strong team of vets and nurses dedicated to offering optimal treatment to all animals under our care. As a rural mixed practice we have veterinary expertise with all creatures, and individual vets specialise in these different species. We are proud that, unlike many of our professional colleagues, we run our own on-call service with our own vets. We feel this is a fundamental part of our duty of care to your animals - to provide a 24hr service that, crucially, is able to maintain continuity of patient care. Our purpose-built surgery, which was recently refurbished, extended and opened by animal enthusiast Kate Humble, houses cutting-edge technological instruments including digital x-ray and scanning equipment, with pristine operating theatre, in-house laboratory, isolation unit and separate cat ward and dog kennelling. On-site car parking and special provision for disabled clients enables easy access for both people and pets alike. The Usk campus includes stabling and housing for equine and farm animal inpatients, with an ambulatory clinic for day surgeries and investigations. Horse lorries and trailers are easily accommodated. Our main Vet Centre in Usk is supported by surgeries in Caerleon and Pontypool, which enable us to provide veterinary services throughout Monmouthshire, Newport and Torfaen including Abergavenny, Gilwern, Goytre , Cwmbran, Chepstow, Blaenavon, Blackwood, Newbridge, Risca, Magor, Caldicot, Tintern and Trelleck.
