A group of long experienced professionals and teachers from home and abroad are involved in teaching in this department. The department provides the B.Sc. (lions) in Fashion Design and Technology with two major courses known as (a) Fashion Design (FD) (b) Apparel Management and Merchan¬dising (AMM) and to support these we have Pattern and Illustration Studio, Sewing Lab, Textile Lab and Computer Lab with high speed internet and WiFi connections. Beside the regular academic issues, we train our students in various extracurricular activities. The students can join Debate Club, Fashion Club, Sports Club and Cultural Club on regular basis. These clubs train the students to be leaders in the field of fashion design and merchandising. Teaching method of this department is based on academical and practical knowledge from academicians and professionals working in the industry. Students will be benefited with the blending of academic and practical knowledge. In Addition, the techniques of teaching are emphasized on case studies, group discussions, presentations, workshops, seminars and project works so that students will be matured enough as leaders in the field of growing design sector as well as apparel industry.
