Vantage Plastics

Vantage Plastics was started in 1996 by founder Paul Aultman. Vantage Plastics is a family owned and run business that has grown from a small shop in 1996 to a leader in the industry. The company was purchased in 1996 as an existing thermoforming company with three rotary thermoformers located in Standish, Michigan. The company housed three thermoform machines, no quality certifications and very little existing business. In late 1996, General Motors became Vantage Plastics first large scale customer. This kick started the business as the automotive sector was thriving in Michigan. Vantage applied for and received ISO certification that year as well, starting a new quality policy at Vantage, to provide its customers with the best value in products and services which meet or exceed their expectations. In 2005 Vantage Plastics added a 22,000 square foot warehouse and a 5,000 square foot office. In 2007 Vantage purchased the assets of a Canadian based company that specialized in the consumer goods market. This addition further enhanced Vantage's product mix and market reach into new consumer goods arenas. That purchase also facilitated the expansion into in-house sheet extrusion at Vantage's Airpark Plastics operation. Since 1996 the company has experienced steady growth and added several thermoforming machines to increase its capacity. Currently, Vantage houses ten rotary thermoformers with capabilities up to 8' x 12' and employs one hundred people.
