VBKom Academy

VBKom was founded in 2008 by five mining engineers with a dream to establish a consultancy firm positioned to deliver expert technical mining across the African continent. The privately owned and operated business, officially launched in Centurion, South Africa, remains the company's head office. VBKom's early-stage success and growth unlocked various opportunities which enabled the company to enhance its initial mining engineering service offering. The strategic addition of key complementary services allowed the company to expand further and improve its client support. In 2009 VBKom again enhanced its complementary services through the addition of project and risk management services as well as project support services having recognised the mining sector's need for this support. Today, the company offers the best project support services in the industry, allowing it to further serve its clients wherever and whenever they need it most. In 2013 VBKom established its second office in Windhoek, Namibia and has been making significant in-roads in the country ever since. A physical presence in this country enables the company to provide on-site services in and around Namibia. In 2015 VBKom opened its third office in Kathu in the Northern Cape Province, South Africa, to provide operational support to its broad client base in the area. The company is constantly driven to raise the bar on service delivery and accessibility to its clients is key. VBKom's shareholders are extremely proud of its achievements to date and will continue to invest heavily to take the company to the next level. It remains committed to seeking out and identifying opportunities to expand its service offering and geographical footprint and in doing so, offers true value to its clients in the mining, as well as capital intensive industries. VBKom's vision for the future is to grow ten-fold in ten years! This vision started in 2014 and is well underway. We place great value on the quality of people that are employed at VBKom.
