VerticalGeo creates, maintains, manages, integrates, and visualizes geospatial data for a variety of customers. VerticalGeo served as a subcontractor to Leidos on the US Air Force's Air Mobility Command (AMC) GeoBase contract and worked with the AMC Installations and Mission Support Directorate to accomplish: Standing up an ArcGIS Server Advanced system hosting an Oracle enterprise database with AMC's ESRI Spatial Data Engine (SDE) geodatabase containing all AMC installation and environmental geospatial data Providing command-wide infrastructure and environmental data visualization services Rolling up and replicating the civil engineering geospatial data from 12 AMC installations Creating deployment planning geospatial data for AMC's Contingency Response Wings (DoD'sFirst Responders) for analysis, planning, and opening new airfields during contingency and humanitarian operations. VerticalGeo provided the AMC Contingency Response Wings with geospatial information to help them open airfields in the following locations: - CENTCOM AOR - Asian Tsunami - Hurricanes Katrina and Wilma (Louis Armstrong International Airport, New Orleans, LA) - Japanese earthquake and nuclear disaster (Reopening of Sendai Airport) - Presidential trip support for Africa, Asia, Caribbean, Europe, South America - AMC Aircraft parking ramp and cargo martialing ramp construction at Souda Bay, Crete; Anderson AFB, Guam; and Hickam AFB, HI Leading AMC through the DoD geospatial data schema change from the Spatial Data Standard for Facilities, Infrastructure, and Environment (SDSFIE) 2.6 to SDSFIE 3.0. This was a fundamental change in the way geospatial data was managed within the DoD, and VerticalGeo quickly became the Subject Matter Experts for SDSFIE 3.0. Providing web-based maps for all events at the Air Mobility Rodeo 2011, the largest airdrop competition in the world. This included creating aircraft parking plans, and mapping all low level flying. Here is a screenshot of the web-based mapping viewer integration platform we created for Air Mobility Rodeo 2011. All the flying routes and a live NextRad weather map were were overlaid on top of a physical terrain map as a situational awareness viewer.
