Vesthimmerlands Municipality
Vesthimmerland Municipality is a municipality (Danish: kommune) in Denmark's North Denmark Region. It covers an area of 768,08 km². On 1 January 2007 Vesthimmerland municipality was created as the result of Kommunalreformen ("The Municipal Reform" of 2007), consisting of the former municipalities of Aalestrup, Farsø, Løgstør, and Aars. The municipal seat is the city of Aars, which also was the seat in the former Aars Municipality.
