Viking Kat commenced operations with an initial annual production capacity of 13.500 tons of single-glazed wrapping, printing, and laminating paper in 1971. Then, in 1982, the growth of Viking Kat accelerated after joining Yaar Group. The Company added momentum to its production activities with modernization works. With its strong brands and exceeding the expectations of different consumer groups with more than 70-product portfolio, Viking Kat highlights itself with its innovative identity and green-friendly applications in cleaning paper industry. While closely following the sector and consumer dynamics, the company develops many innovative products in line with the needs and expectations of its customers with its strong R & D structure. It has brought innovative products such as the first cotton-added toilet paper, the first 3-ply toilet paper, the first aloe vera-added toilet paper, the first selective leaf towel to its industry. Viking Kat, with the opening of the recycled paper processing plant(de-inking) in 2000, which is a first in the tissue paper sector in Turkey, helps preventing the cutting of 310,000 trees a year in average with "eco-friendly" cleaning paper products. In addition, corporate carbon footprint and water footprint have been calculated since 2015. Viking Kat keeps on reporting these reports and developing projects which reduce carbon emission. With its rapidly growing export volume, the Company exports to 23 countries, mainly to the Europe and Central Asian Republics.
