In 1967, John Bogosian founded Visual Sound Inc., as the professional audiovisual division of The Camera Shop, Inc. one of the top three largest photo retail chains in the country. The Camera Shop, Inc.'s strength in the photo retail market initially helped launch Visual Sound as a key player in the Audio Visual rental and sales industry. Over the years, Visual Sound gained prominence and acclaim in the Audio Visual industry as a total provider of audio visual solutions to the education, business, government and worship markets. Visual Sound is a highly regarded company with a reputation for excellence in designing and building customized audio visual solutions. Visual Sound, Inc. is headquartered in Broomall, PA with satellite offices in Baltimore, Harrisburg and Philadelphia. Visual Sound, Inc., as the leading provider of audio visual solutions in the mid-Atlantic region, is comprised of a team of specialists in presentation AV, sound reinforcement, broadcast video, video conferencing and network systems. The in-house design, engineering, sales, purchasing, project management, and installation teams provide the services required to consistently complete projects on time, with excellent performance and with on-site service contracts to ensure that the systems are maintained and utilized to their full potential. Visual Sound, Inc. is also experienced with event staging and video production, an outgrowth of the audio visual rental business. Visual Sound was the in-house AV provider for the Philadelphia Convention Center for 15 years. In 2001, Visual Sound, Inc. acquired the audio visual products and systems division of Peirce Phelps, a company that had been in audio visual and broadcast industry for 35 years. The acquisition firmly established Visual Sound, Inc. as one of the largest audio visual solutions provider in the mid-Atlantic region. The acquisition has allowed Visual Sound, Inc. to expand technical capabilities and expertise within the engineering and service groups. In October of 2009, Visual Sound acquired Kunz AV in Baltimore, Maryland to broadly expand sales in Maryland, Virginia, DC and West Virginia.
