VIVO Media Arts Centre

Since 1973, VIVO Media Arts Centre has operated largely on the support of its volunteers to help out with events, workshops, documentation, fundraisers, and general VIVO ambassadorship. Moving into the final days of our extensive renovation at 2625 Kaslo Street, VIVO is looking to expand its volunteer pool to assist with upcoming events over the next several months. Want to get involved with VIVO and become a fresh face of our new multi-purpose media arts centre? Here's how: We have an enormous range of volunteer opportunities for all interests and skill levels, including basic event hospitality, photography, videography, editing, graphic design, postering, archive research, and more. If you have an interest in volunteering at VIVO and plan on using our resources for your own creative projects, we offer a work exchange program with "Video Bucks," an in-house currency redeemable towards equipment rentals, venue rental, and workshops. With a valid Supporting Membership, you can earn 14VB for every hour that you volunteer at VIVO, which translates as discounts on workshops, and up to 85% discount on the rental of cameras, lights, editing suites, our new micro-cinema, and more.
