Michael Mandapati founded Warp & Weft in 2001 on the simple premise of excellence - to offer and to create the finest rugs possible. He opened his first gallery on Madison Avenue, New York City with a curated collection of exceptional antique and period carpets. Over time, with his extensive knowledge and understanding of old rugs, he created his first Modern Collections with the same curatorial eye. The best materials and time-tested construction methods are used in his contemporary designs, which result in rugs that are old and new, contemporary and timeless.
