* The Washington Conference is the smallest geographically, the largest in population, and has the highest number of unchurched people per capita of the six conferences in the North Pacific Union Conference (NPUC). * According to a 1998 report, the ratio of Seventh-day Adventist church members to the general population in the Washington Conference was 1:225, the highest of the six NPUC conferences. * Because of these demographics, is aggressively planting new churches at a rate of more than one per quarter. Currently there are 23 church plants in the developing stages. Since November 2001, eight of those have become officially organized churches. * Has a unique international flavor with ministries focused on Hispanics, Filipinos, Indonesians, Native Americans, Samoans, Fijians, Koreans, Japanese, Tongans, Vietnamese, Cambodians, and Russians. * Has the largest number of Black Adventist congregations in the NPUC with more church planting in the plans.
