Waverley School

At Waverley School we have created an environment that allows all learners to flourish because mutual respect is encouraged alongside a respect for and desire to learn. The process begins with enabling every learner to recognise and realise his or her potential and capacity to achieve, and encouraging every learner to aspire. The staff, working alongside the pupils, are actively engaged in learning as they go about continually improving and developing their expertise and professionalism. In this way, a climate of high expectation is actively promoted. We regularly review the work of the school so that our pupils actively want to take advantage of the best possible opportunities we create for them. Waverley School is an active member of its local community and takes seriously its responsibility to work with others, particularly those who can contribute to the continual learning and progress of our pupils. We believe that not only must we create and support a culture of learning in our school, but also support the development of a learning culture in the community, so that it in turn continues to become even more flourishing and thriving.
