WCE Consulting Engineers

Windhoek Consulting Engineers was the first consulting engineering company in Namibia to receive a certificate of compliance from the Ministry of Labour. It confirmed WCE's commitment towards redressing past inequalities by providing an environment of equal opportunities and employment equity. WCE's affirmative action program makes provision for equal opportunities at all levels of employment and the current ethnic and gender group representation is proof of this. The staff establishment of 44 includes 12 female and 18 formerly disadvantaged Namibians, of which 2 are in top management and 10 are technicians and professional engineers. Resources in terms of leadership, time and money are directed towards the creation of a professional and conducive workplace to all spheres of employment in the company. Special consideration is given to training and WCE proudly sponsors bursaries every year in the fields of civil, mechanical and electrical engineering. In addition, previously disadvantaged engineers in training at the Ministry of Works and Transport as well as other ministries, are given the opportunity to gain in-service training at WCE at no cost. The Polytech of Namibia also regularly sends students in administrative careers to WCE for in-service training. WCE also endeavors to accommodate persons with?disabilities, physically or otherwise.
