the lowest-numbered active license in the state of nevada belongs to wells cargo, inc., a family business started by howard a wells sr. and his two brothers in 1935. what began as a one truck operation that hauled goods to the lumber and mining camps in sierra nevada has since become a diverse construction, mining, transportation, and land development company. wells cargo is entering its 3rd generation of leadership under guy wells who serves as president/ceo.
