When the NFL changed from film to video in 1986, coaches needed easy quick control of video playback. Webb invented the Cowboy Remote, the Original Video Clicker, in response to this need. In 1999, Webb Electronics built their new corporate and manufacturing headquarters in Carrollton, Texas.
