Welland Tribune
The Tribune was first published in Welland 1863, after having been established in 1854 in Fonthill Dr. John Fraser. A. Dunsmore obtained ownership and moved the newspaper to Welland which had become the county seat, originally naming the publication the Peoples Press before changing it to The Welland Tribune. In 2017, the newspaper was sold to Torstar Corporation, which also publishes the Toronto Star, The Hamilton Spectator, the Waterloo Region Record, The St. Catharines Standard, The Niagara Falls Review, The Peterborough Examiner, Metroland community newspapers and several other media properties.
