WellShare International

Founded in 1979, WellShare has implemented evidence-based health programs in seven countries. In 1985, WellShare was among the first recipients of the U.S. Agency for International Development's Child Survival and Health Grants Program (CSHGP) funding. Since that time, WellShare has received and successfully completed 8 CSHGP competitive awards, most recently for a child survival program in Karatu District, Tanzania. WellShare has designed and carried out projects under USAID/PMI, USAID/PEPFAR, USAID/FlexFund as well as the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria among others. In 2012, WellShare started a small-scale program in Bariadi District, Tanzania using its Survive and Thrive Group model, which operates in 12 villages.
