West Midlands Police

West Midlands Police has a dedicated Counter Terrorism Unit, based in Birmingham but operating as part of a national CT network. Threats are constantly reviewed and we will keep the public informed of any developments in our region. At present there is no specific threat to the West Midlands. However, as we have seen on many occasions, there are a small number of individuals who seek to carry out acts of terrorism and we must therefore all remain vigilant. This section of the website aims to provide information and advice for members of the public and for the business community on the role they can play in helping to defeat terrorism. We welcome feedback on our work.
