Our priority for all students is academic success. We have the same high academic expectations for all those that graduate from Westlake whether they choose to attend University or go straight into the workforce. Our academic results are excellent and amongst the best in the country. We offer a dual qualification pathway, where students have the opportunity to study for Cambridge International Examinations or NCEA. Many of our students go on to study at top universities in New Zealand and across the world. In the last five years, several students have been awarded Top in New Zealand and Top in the World recognition and university scholarships. Our staff work hard to ensure that all our students leave Westlake with a set of qualifications of which they are proud. Our staff members are exceptionally committed to providing additional opportunities for our young men outside the classroom. Nearly all of our teachers contribute to our co-curricular programme, making Westlake an exciting and supportive school of which to be part. We regularly gain national honours in sport and music in addition to many other local, regional, sporting and cultural achievements. Our approach creates a culture of achievement.
