Williams Brothers is a commercial General Contractor performing work throughout the state of Illinois. The firm was founded on August 1, 1973 by Mr. Thomas J. Williams. Williams Brothers is located in Peoria Heights, Illinois. There are currently twenty five office employees and more than one hundred field employees. Williams Brothers performs work throughout the state of Illinois. Work has been performed as far south as Carbondale and as far north as Rockford. Williams Brothers has also performed work in Iowa and was recently selected to construct a new police and jail facility for the city of Evansville, Indiana. This is Williams Brothers' first project in Indiana. Williams Brothers has successfully completed over three hundred commercial construction projects. The type of construction Williams Brothers has successfully performed are schools, universities, correctional institutions, industrial facilities, sewer and water plants, and governmental facilities. Most work has been obtained through competitive bidding, but Williams Brothers has an excellent record with negotiated work. Williams Brothers completes over eighty million dollars in work annually. Recently the largest project to date was completed. This project is the Maximum Security Prison in Thompson, Illinois for the Illinois Department of Corrections. The contracts for this project were in excess of one hundred twenty million, with Williams Brothers the General Contractor. The project was finished on time and on budget. It is the largest project ever for the Illinois Department of Corrections as well. Williams Brothers has worked successfully with many other owners throughout the state. At the University of Illinois, successfully completed projects include the Illini Union Bookstore, The Assembly Hall renovation, ACES Library, Spurlock Museum, and many others. Williams Brothers has also been the general contractor for five of the last major projects at Bradley University in Peoria. Williams Brothers has a reputation for being very successful on both Water and Sewage Treatment plants throughout Illinois. Williams Brothers was just recently awarded both Phase One and Two of the Champaign Water District's thirty million dollar upgrade. Williams Brothers is also performing water and sewage treatments throughout Illinois in cities such Moline, Joliet, West Chicago, Rockford, Galena and Elwood. Much of the success that Wiliams Brothers has achieved can be attributed to Tom Williams' philosophy that success will come to those who work for it. This is shown through all of Williams Brothers' personnel. The project managers and job superintendents are some of the best in the industry. They are extremely talented and professional and our results show just how good they are.
