Williamson Bros. Bar-B-Q has been serving the Atlanta area with great southern style barbeque since March 1990. Danny and Larry Williamson, from Talladega, Alabama grew up helping their father, Jack Williamson, cook barbeque and come up with special recipes. They soon had the idea to start their own restaurant. During the late 1980s, Atlanta and specifically Marietta were booming and a perfect opportunity arose for the brothers. They brought very little with them from Alabama and worked hard to turn the existing restaurant into the packed and popular barbeque establishment that it is today, opening the doors with only a little over $100.00 to their name. Both Danny and Larry worked day and night building their business and relationships within the Cobb county community. They both raised their children here in East Cobb and still live in Marietta today. They have employed from very loyal and hardworking people who have been with them throughout the more than 20 years of business. With the support of their families, employees, and community they have been able to open 2 additional restaurants, one in Canton and one in Douglasville, as well as a 14,000sq.ft. catering facility, and a nationally recognized Sauce distribution Center, where the famous bbq sauce is shipped all over the world. The Williamson Bros. and management staff are always trying to stay one step ahead of the competition and look forward to trying new things. They like to experiment with Live music, Open Mic Nights, Trivia, Popular local Craft Beers, and of course All you can Eat Bar-B-Q!
