Wineandbarrels.com was founded in 2008 after the owner Jakob Dau had traveled around Europe to find suppliers of wine barrels for his newly established winery on the island of Langeland in Denmark. On his travels he located a cooperage in France and one in Hungary, both of which produce handmade casks working from venerable artisan traditions. In the years following, business was expanded to include wine racks and handmade furniture from Germany, France and Spain.
