Wirral Grammar School for Boys
Wirral Grammar School for Boys is one of only 85 school teams who took part in this exciting national stock market challenge. The idea is simple but very innovative. The competition gave students a chance to invest real money in the stock market. The money, all £1500, came from a combination of school funds and sponsorship received from some of our business friends in the community (see list on the left hand side of this page). The competition gave our students the opportunity to develop their analytical, team-working and business skills whilst bringing a 'real world' approach to learning. It was an ideal support for many subjects across the curriculum and, what's more, all the proceeds were retained by our school. The Wirral Grammar School Investment Club currently consists of 4 AS Economists: Matthew Robinson, Matthew Halliday, Christopher Lloyd and Dean O' Brien and 1 AS Mathematician, Matthew Smith.
