Wölffer Estate
Wölffer Kitchen serves modern American cuisine with a Mediterranean influence. Our focus is on local, fresh, seasonal and ultimately wine-friendly food. The wine list will feature wines and hard ciders from Wölffer Estate Vineyard and other quality Long Island producers, as well as select labels from around the world. Wölffer Winemaker and Partner Roman Roth helps to curate the wine list. Wölffer Kitchen also will offer craft beers, ciders and spirits with an emphasis on Long Island and New York craft producers. Craft cocktails will feature ciders and spirits from Wölffer and other quality producers, and herbs and garnishes from local farms. "Wine and food make a harmonious blend, not only at meals but as a lifestyle," says Joey Wolffer, who is co-owner of Wölffer Estate Vineyard, and owner and founder of the mobile boutique, The Styleliner, which will open its first brick-and-mortar store, also in Sag Harbor, on May 22, 2015. Ms. Wolffer oversaw the redesign of the restaurant, working with Sagaponack-based Martin Architects to create a convivial neighborhood destination that encompasses the Sag Harbor village streetscape combined with materials and subtle sophistication of European winemaking, including natural woods and aged materials, and a gallery of wine. Recalling gatherings thrown by her father, Christian Wölffer, founder of Wölffer Estate Vineyard, at the family farmhouse, she says, "Entertaining is a part of the Wölffer family DNA. We created Wölffer Kitchen to be a modern yet cozy and comfortable space that echoes the bohemian spirit of the Hamptons Marc and I knew as kids-a special place where great memories are born." Roman Roth says, "Wölffer Estate has deep ties to the Hamptons community and to the broader Long Island wine region.
