WorkVentures
We have forged strategic partnerships with local, state and federal governments, businesses, churches and the community, in order to achieve our vision and goals and enable us to move into challenging new areas of social enterprise. We have crystallised our guiding principles into Five Pillars: Narrowing the digital divide for individuals in disadvantaged and isolated communities through our computer refurbishment and resale program, connect (technology) centres and IT training programs. Creating pathways and opportunities for employment for groups at risk through traineeships and our technology repair services. Supporting disadvantaged individuals in at-risk groups to build sustainable small enterprises. Encouraging and supporting individuals from at-risk groups back into learning through the life skills and educational programs we facilitate in our strategically located WorkVentures Connect Centres. Working with Indigenous people and their communities to identify and facilitate sustainable solutions to long-term issues, and to be an agent for change and progress in their communities. Since we began operating, WorkVentures has successfully established and continues to manage several social enterprises that support the financial sustainability of our organisation.
